Creative Producer

Outside of producing and directing my own projects I facilitate the work of other artists, companies or community groups, tailoring my skills to the individual needs of their project. This might involve producing, project-management, mentoring, facilitating, dramaturgical or access support, helping to realise a project alongside the director and/or other members of a team. I also film and photograph artists and events as a way to stay closely connected to the art itself.

Relationships typically begin at the planning/scheduling stages and continue through to delivery and evaluation. My ability to remain flexible and responsive allows me to lead projects, collaborate or fulfil another person’s vision, operating with sensitivity, rigour, organisation, kindness, confidence, curiosity and professionalism.

Recent examples include: Stuart Waters’ creative producer and rehearsal director for touring Rockbottom and A Queer Collision, One World Orchestra project co-ordination for workshops and performance events, Sophie Nüzel’s tour producer for family show Stories of a Watersprite, The Flying Child’s personal assistant and creative facilitator for CSA conferences and book promotions.

I have experience working with mental health access needs and neuro-spicy individuals, BSL interpretation users, blind, visually impaired, and disabled artists, students and community participants. Much of the work I do now involves collaborating on productions that tackle social/political issues and challenging life stories, so I am constantly developing my trauma-attuned practice. As Clore Leadership Inclusive Cultures 2024 alumni, I believe in creating work responsibly with a psychologically safe infrastructure in place. This care-centred approach to making art creates inclusive spaces that allow marginalised voices to be elevated and celebrated .

Irrespective of my role, my aim is to place both the art and the well-being of the collaborators and participants at the forefront of every process and apply my vast experience to help people achieve their vision through thoughtful risk-taking and boundaried freedom.
